District employee compensation information is available throught the State of California Government Compensation portal.
Government Compensation Portal
The District currently provides the following salary and benefits:
- Salary range: varies (non‐exempt status)
- Annual Cost of Living Allowance (COLA)
- CalPERS retirement benefits (2% @ 62 retirement benefit formula for “New Members” to CalPERS, or 2% @ 60 for “laterals” hired within six months of employment with another CalPERS agency or public agency that has “reciprocity” with CalPERS, as required by the California Public Employees’ Pension Reform Act of 2013; both formulas are based on a 36‐month average compensation period)
- Matching up to $5,000, per calendar year, via 457 deferred compensation Employee contributions
- Medical benefits (100% of CalPERS health premiums paid by the District up to the Kaiser Basic Bay Area plan cost for employee only, dental and vision plan premiums for employee only)
- Social Security
- Worker’s Compensation
- Long Term Disability Insurance
- Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance plan in the amount of $50,000
- Educational incentive program for successful completion of pre‐approved course(s) and associated certification for cross‐training in an additional job classification at the District
- Paid holidays (6 fixed holidays, plus 6 floating holidays per year)
- Accrued vacation (from 1 to 3 years of employment – 10 days per year; from 4 to 7 years of employment – 15 days per year; from 8 to 25 years of employment – 20 days per year; after 25 years of employment – 25 days per year)
- Accrued sick leave (12 days per year)
- Employees may "sell back" up to 120 hours of vacation hours per fiscal year
- $200 per fiscal year for Safety shoes per fiscal year
- $300 every two (2) years for Safety glasses per fiscal year
- Health & Wellness Program allowing $600 reimbursement allowance per fiscal year
- Health Care waiver for Employees already covered under other group insurance, can receive $400 per month cash in lieu of SD5 SD5 benefits
